Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What scale are the miniatures?

The ranges are designed for 28mm tabletop wargaming. If a product differs from this, the relevant product page will say so.

What are the miniatures made from?

The main Paul Hicks Miniatures ranges are traditionally sculpted and supplied in metal. A small number of accessories may use other materials, such as printed resin, and this will be stated on the product page.

Are the miniatures supplied painted?

No. Unless a product page specifically says otherwise, miniatures are supplied unpainted and may require cleaning and assembly before use. Painted examples shown on the website are for illustration.

Are bases included?

Please check the individual product description. Where bases are included, this is stated on the product page.

Do mounted figures and larger models require assembly?

Yes, some miniatures are supplied in more than one part and will require assembly. Metal components can usually be assembled using a suitable cyanoacrylate superglue after cleaning and test fitting.

Who sculpts the miniatures?

The ranges sold here are designed and sculpted by Paul Hicks, a traditional figure sculptor with more than twenty years of experience in the tabletop miniatures industry.
